Farewell to 2014 with a giveaway
2014 started off really well for my small business;I remember being inundated with custom orders coming through my Etsy shop from all over the world. This filled me with an immense feeling of satisfaction, knowing I had achieved what I have set out to do,which was earn a living doing something I love…Then disaster struck in the form of cancer.I went into Feb 2014 with a whole load of orders that needed to be completed with months of treatment ahead of me…I thought it would be impossible to get through my order backlog so I offered many customers refunds, but was overwhelmed by the response from all those who had supported me during that difficult time and allowed me extra time to get their orders out! I will be forever grateful to those kind strangers.
I could not of got through my order backlog without the help and support of my wonderful husband Brian, who completed tasks I could not do;he also found a creative side to himself we did not know existed! We are both very excited about the possibility of working together in the new year.
Now,I end this year feeling stronger than ever before,I am looking forward to meeting new customers from across the globe.I want to learn new things and perfect my existing skills as a Bookbinder. There is still much to learn and improve on.For me,there were many highs and lows during this last year, but mostly highs as I have been given a new lease of life,I understand now more than ever before the meaning of making the most of each day we are given.
I would like to bid farewell to 2014 with a giveaway of the photo album pictured below.I'd love to hear about your most memorable moment of 2014 or what you are most grateful for.I will add the names to a hat of those who leave a comment in the comments box at the bottom of this blog post and draw one lucky winner on Friday 2nd Jan 2015 at Noon GMT.
