Passages 2015 Journal Diary

Lately I've been working on some journals and mini albums in the evening after custom orders have been completed for the day.I really enjoy working in the still of the night when it's just me some paint, paper, thread and a needle and no idea what I am going to make. There is an excitement in not knowing how the book is going to turn out and just letting creativity takes its own path.

Here is one of the journals I finished last night made with handmade cotton rag paper ; a rather primitive, simple 2015 journal diary tied with leather. The cover has a crackled effect and a piece of distressed canvas which I wrote on in ink.The spine of this book can be personalised with a word or name.

I will have a limited number of 2015 journals going up in the shop over the next few weeks, once sold they will not be re-listed,so do keep an eye out for them.

The end papers are in ivory and printed with a fleur de lis and my favourite quote by Anaïs Nin

This cotton rag paper is made in India from recycled t.shirst one page at a time.It is a very skilful and lengthy process which is what makes it so expensive, but it so lovely and eco-friendly and really adds something extra special to handmade book.
