Project:To upcycle an old storybook.
I've been trying to decide on which paper to use for a journal titled "He says"...as this is going to be a log book of all the wise/funny things my son kahal says, I thought using one of his favourite storybooks would be a great idea .I chose 'Where The Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak for its simple text and imaginative illustration.
Although he was't too pleased at the sight of me ripping up his beloved book, he is excited about having a journal devoted to entirely to him.
The journal will be packed with pockets and loads of card inserts using lined paper from old school textbooks. These will be printed onto card and then inked to give them a tattered look.
Stay posted to see the finished product soon.
Bye bye book, hello up cycled journal!
Card printed & pages ripped and ready to be folded into signatures.
Remember those lovely textbooks from school?
